Fungal infections that occur as a result of wearing the same jeans continuously are fungal infections of tinea cruris. Tinea cruris can occur in the skin of the genital area (groin), thighs and buttocks. Symptoms that usually occur are itching and redness in the area.

This fungal infection generally occurs in people who are obese or in people who have excessive sweating. Because the fungus is very happy to grow in damp areas, such as the folds of the body.

To prevent yourself from getting a yeast infection, the most important thing to do is to keep the area of ​​the skin – especially the groin area – stay clean and dry. In addition, also avoid using the same jeans for days, or wearing jeans in turns with other people.

  • Avoid using pants that are too thick.
  • Make sure you use jeans that are sized so that they are not too tight when used.

  • Do not exchange clothes or pants, including jeans, you with other people.

However, if a yeast infection has occurred, you can apply an antifungal cream that contains Clotrimazole to the area of ​​the body that is infected with the fungus. If within a few weeks the fungal infection has not improved, take yourself to the doctor immediately to get further action.
