Jeans are indeed a clothing that is favored by many people and ages, ranging from children to adults. The reason, jeans are suitable for use in conjunction with any type of clothing.
This often makes you reluctant to wash jeans that you often wear. Although the jeans have been worn for weeks, some people are still reluctant to wash the jeans, especially if they are favorite jeans.
You need to know, using the same jeans continuously without washing can increase your risk of fungal infections. Fungal infections can occur because jeans in general have the shape of the thigh which tends to be tight so that makes the part easily damp.
Fungal infections that occur as a result of wearing the same jeans continuously are fungal infections of tinea cruris. Tinea cruris can occur in the skin of the genital area (groin), thighs and buttocks. Symptoms that usually occur are itching and redness in the area.
This fungal infection generally occurs in people who are obese or in people who have excessive sweating. Because the fungus is very happy to grow in damp areas, such as the folds of the body.
To prevent yourself from getting a yeast infection, the most important thing to do is to keep the area of the skin – especially the groin area – stay clean and dry. In addition, also avoid using the same jeans for days, or wearing jeans in turns with other people.
In addition to the above, so that you do not get a yeast infection, you also need to do the following:
- Use clothes that are clean and made of materials that can absorb sweat, such as cotton.
- Avoid using pants that are too thick.
- Make sure you use jeans that are sized so that they are not too tight when used.
- Wash your jeans immediately after use, especially if it’s already wet.
- Do not exchange clothes or pants, including jeans, you with other people.
However, if a yeast infection has occurred, you can apply an antifungal cream that contains Clotrimazole to the area of the body that is infected with the fungus. If within a few weeks the fungal infection has not improved, take yourself to the doctor immediately to get further action.
